Two New Programs Launching this Fall!

After much planning and preparation, we are very proud to be launching two new site-based programs, expanding on our group mentoring model and reaching out to students in middle school and high school.

The first is Soar to Success– a high school mentoring program at Cascade High School in Everett. We will begin with a cohort of 12 freshman students and 6 mentors who will work together to prepare students for High School Graduation. Meeting once a week, the group will work together on a curriculum to prepare students for high school graduation and post high school life.

The second program is our new Sparks Club, launching at Cedarcrest Middle School in Marysville. Dividing the students into two groups of 8th grade students, Sparks Club mentors will work with these students weekly on a journey discovering their strengths and passions (their “Sparks”). Students and mentors will have guest speakers, group projects, and individual activities to help them begin to think about High School and beyond.

Kids Book Club grows thanks to Tulalip Charitable Fund

Our literacy based group mentoring program, Kids Book Club, continues to grow. Thanks to generous funding from the Tulalip Charitable Fund, we are adding two new book clubs at Quil Ceda Elementary. In Kids Book Club, elementary school students meet weekly with their mentors and other club members to enhance their reading skills, as well as foster their love of learning.
