Backpacks for Littles

Thanks to our friends at the YMCA, JanSport, Greystar, Dr. Dickinson, DDS, and Jack in the Box, we had enough backpacks and supplies to fill over 100 backpacks for our Littles. We opened our office up to our Littles and their families on Tuesday, September 1st, offering up pizza and refreshments in order for them to pick out their perfect backpack.  If your child was not able to make our open house, please contact your Case Manager to arrange a time to pick up a backpack.

We Need Mentors

With special thanks to College Spark Washington and Soroptimist International of Everett, we are thrilled to be launching FIVE Sparks Clubs this fall at North Middle School in downtown Everett. We need mentors!  Sparks Club mentors will work with BBBS Staff and a small group of middle school students weekly on a journey discovering their strengths and passions (their “Sparks”). Students and mentors will have guest speakers, group projects, and individual activities to help them begin to think about High School and beyond. Curriculum and training is provided. Volunteers are asked to make a minimum commitment of one year, must pass criminal background check, and be available during the school day lunch hour. If you or someone you know is interested in being a Sparks Mentor, please contact Suzanne Leavitt at 425-252-2227 x 1591 or sleavitt@bbbs-snoco.org.

Bowl for Kids' Sake is September 26 & 27, 2015

Saturday, September 26th and Sunday, September 27th, we will be holding our annual community-wide Bowl for Kids' Sake at Glacier Lanes in Everett.  Bowl for Kids' Sake is a fun and easy way for individuals and companies to support the life changing work of Big Brothers Big Sisters.  Start thinking about being a team captain, recruiting your team of 4 additional bowlers, and doing a little fundraising - all for the Littles in our community.  We will be giving away a basket to the team that raises the most dollars at each session. All of the tools you will need including bowling times, are available on-line by going to our Bowl for Kids' Sake website HERE.
