Bowl for Kids' Sake Strikes it BIG

This past weekend, 38 teams came out to Bowl for Kids' Sake raising over $24,000 - money that will go directly towards the life changing work of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Snohomish County!

Prior to the actual event, teams were challenged to a variety of fundraising challenges to see who would be the top team during each session. During our Saturday session, Bowlers with Spunk won, bringing in over $4300. Sunday morning's session went to the 12th Pin's from The Everett Clinic, who brought in $1100, and Sunday afternoon's session went to Team Billet, who brought in over $5400.00. During the event, bowlers were again challenged to a variety of fun and somewhat silly obstacles - winning a variety of prizes for top fundraisers, most team spirit, bowling bingo and more!

We Need Mentors

With special thanks to College Spark Washington and Soroptimist International of Everett, we are thrilled to be launching FIVE Sparks Clubs this fall at North Middle School in downtown Everett. We need mentors!  Sparks Club mentors will work with BBBS Staff and a small group of middle school students weekly on a journey discovering their strengths and passions (their “Sparks”). Students and mentors will have guest speakers, group projects, and individual activities to help them begin to think about High School and beyond. Curriculum and training is provided. Volunteers are asked to make a minimum commitment of one year, must pass criminal background check, and be available during the school day lunch hour. If you or someone you know is interested in being a Sparks Mentor, please contact Suzanne Leavitt at 425-252-2227 x 1591 or
