Holiday Trees are Up
Many thanks to our friends at the following Snohomish County YMCA branches, who host Giving Trees each year for us - Everett, Marysville, Mill Creek, Monroe, and Mukilteo.
Between November 25th and December 20th, you can help put a smile on the face of local kids, simply by visiting one of these local YMCA branches, removing a gift tag from the tree, purchasing a gift card, and dropping it back off in the Giving Tree box or in our office in Everett. Receiving these gifts each year at our holiday skate party is truly special for our Little Brothers and Little Sisters. Thank you for your support!
Beyond School Walls is Back for its 7th Year!
Beyond School Walls is a workplace mentoring program that allows children access to adult mentors. This program is part of a national partnership between Comcast and Big Brothers Big Sisters, and we are fortunate to be one of 17 programs nationwide.
Twice a month, starting on November 29th, students from Woodside Elementary will meet one-on-one with Comcast mentors and take part in structured group activities that center around career development, team building, and interpersonal skill building.
Thank you to the employees at Comcast who have volunteered to be mentors this year. We look forward to a very fun and engaging year! For more information on our Beyond School Walls program, please contact Suzanne Leavitt, Program Supervisor at email@example.com.
